Scamlink: Decentralized escrow, marketplace & DeFi applications

As we are working 24/7 toward delivering the best possible experience for our users, we thought an overall update on our vision would come in handy.

We realize there are lots of changes coming to the Scamlink platform, and with all of the excitement around our Vortex AMM, we figured there was no better time to crank out this article.

This write-up is about the vision, the spirit of Scamlink, and what it takes to become a world-class project.

Vision and Mission of Scamlink

Scamlink aims to build an ecosystem of decentralized applications that will scale beyond the realm of DeFi and target mainstream adoption through real-world use cases. These applications go from a non-custodial escrow solution and marketplace 3.0, to sophisticated DeFi tools, all built on Tezos.

Our primary focus is the use of blockchain technology to challenge the status quo in the heavily regulated payment and escrow industries, still reliant on the legacy banking system. Scamlink wants to pioneer the new era of scalable financial tools, to be in line with tomorrow’s economy.

When we finally decided to build Scamlink on Tezos back in 2020, we made an objective, unbiased decision. Our project needed strong, secure and scalable foundations. At the time (still true today), no other POS blockchain were able to provide a complete set of actionable tools from formally verifiable smart contracts, to solid and decentralized governance mechanisms, coupled with scalability, security, speed, and last but not least, a large/active community.

It’s important to understand that our goal is not only about delivering the products, but redefining what “Quality” means through them, building strategic synergies, promoting value propositions at the right place and time, driving adoption, and of course, putting our platform on the map.

This will be achieved through consistent development, great management, and a top-notch growth strategy, and we can firmly state that our team excels in each of these areas 🙂

We will keep onboarding valuable Tezos experts as we recently did with Sebastien Choukroun, Bilal El Alamy, Kevin Merahbi (and more to be announced) in order to join forces, build the best products, and thoroughly double-check key parts of our work.

We have now fully entered the development phase and are sourcing new talents on a regular basis.

A note on communication

“Please, I need an announcement”

As our roadmap is unfolding, our marketing strategy couldn’t be clearer.

There is one thing to keep in mind:

Different products = Different strategies

When it comes to marketing things out we, more than anyone else, want to hit hard and early. And even we, are sometimes guilty of being borderline impatient.*chuckles*

But this is not how it works.

A product follows basic marketing principles i.e introduction > growth > maturity.

No need to mention that the space is still in an R&D juncture that comes with its share of unpredictable events and challenges.
However, we are perfectionist. We want to build the best possible Dapps to become inevitable in the space and will always put the time necessary to satisfy the highest level of expectations that we have set.

We couldn’t help but notice that some community members still seem to be showing signs of chronic hastiness. We’ve been in crypto long enough to know that this behavior is far too common.

Thank us later!

We’ll make it short for the sake of this article.

At such an early stage, we want to emphasize that this is all about patience and trust. We are (obviously) still in the introduction phase and our applications will naturally enter the growth/marketing stage when we’re technically ready to scale.

Scamlink is a project that aims to build decentralized applications that will eventually be driven by its own community. People who buy SMAK tokens do so in order to benefit from its different utilities (escrow fee exemption, escrow rewards, governance etc.) on the Scamlink platform.

Unfortunately, many buyers will only keep asking about the price and exhaust our true supporters on the different social channels. Demands to push price movements are not in line with the spirit of this project.

We do not release news to influence the token price. Secondary markets are independent of the Scamlink Project, not the project’s purpose in and of itself.

We mean to educate about the technology we’re building and the vision we strive to develop. If you are trading in these markets, you are solely responsible for your own actions and should never invest more than you can afford to lose.

With that said, we will treat fudders and hype beggars who go off on emotional rants on our socials as they deserve.

If you are only interested in pump and dump projects, please do reconsider your choice when it comes to Scamlink.

Unfortunately, code doesn’t care if we’re in a rush

As we are developing the Scamlink features, hurdles and delays can occur and we wanted to take a moment to reiterate this fundamental.

Regarding products’ ETAs, we usually try to give our best approximation to the community, though the reality of coding is unpredictable and timelines should always be taken with a grain of salt.

Our roadmap is looking good, and our team can pride itself on having some of the greatest developers currently building on Tezos. Only 4 months have passed since our first delivery, and the community can rest assured that things are rolling out quickly reatively to some other projects.

The past few weeks have been full of news for Scamlink. Some have been announced while others have yet to be disclosed, but bear with us 🙂

Update on the Indexer, Farms, and Vortex 1.2

Final stretch! Q4 is going to be amazing.

Let’s go over our hot topics now. These updates will be a game changer and kickstart our first, real, marketing campaign. We decided not to release any new feature without the indexer being fully ready to boost the overall speed.

Indexer: Trickier than it sounds! Not that it’s complex to implement, but it is tedious. As we added more features/pages to Vortex 1.2 and wanted to include all the apps (DEX, staking, lottery and farms) we had to finish building/polishing some of the features to then integrate. We’re almost there though!Farms: We recently released Farms & Fixed Token Supply: A Mathematical Model for Tezos paper which demonstrates how to build farm mechanisms on Tezos when having a capped token supply. This model hasn’t been done before and required some extra brain time to map out the specifications and build a state-of-the-art end product. We’re really excited for this and release is imminent!Vortex 1.2: We’ve designed really cool additional features for Vortex (And there’s more to come) But this release will depend on the indexer in order to go live.

ETA: Our farm contract should be audited by the end of this upcoming week. The company in charge of the audit should confirm soon enough.
The indexer should be ready next week as well, although we can’t confirm a date. If all our tests and implementations are successful we’ll have everything ready very soon! Our farms should also go live around this timeline.

All this to say, we’ll always go the extra mile to make the platform as cool and functional as possible. We‘re building a timeless project. Once the foundations are set up, we will only grow!
