With the inauguration in March 2022 of the first Start-up studio dedicated to web 3, PyraTzLabs wants to industrialize business creation in this universe by bringing its expertise in blockchain technology to projects. Meeting with Bilal El Alamy, co-founder of PyraTzLabs.

Finally a place dedicated to web projects 3?

If blockchain was born with bitcoin, the transparency of its system and decentralized architecture give it an application potential that goes far beyond the financial sphere. Yet the projects in France face a lack of qualified skills, infrastructure for integrating this technological brick and a lack of content creation for the Metaverse.

The objective of PyraTzLabs studio is to support business creation projects over a period of up to 12 months by providing them with its expertise in blockchain. Companies will be welcomed in our premises inaugurated next March. With 450 m2 dedicated to web 3, this unique place in Europe aims to promote the Parisian place in the world.

For which applications?

The target projects concern three main sectors: gaming, B to C with projects in the world of retail or fashion and decentralized finance. At the end of the 12 months of support integrating the issuance of a technological road map, our Start up studio transfers skills to the new recruits of the selected company so that it becomes independent as quickly as possible.

How do you select the projects?

Projects are selected through Hackathons with entrepreneurship or code competitions. They compete with 10 projects over 4 months every semester. The selected projects benefit from an investment of €150 to €200k on a model inspired by the United States in which the founders retain more than 80% of their company’s shares. We also organize acceleration batches of 1 to 3 months for the most advanced projects. Entirely face-to-face, they can bring an investment from €500k to €3 million. The studio can support up to 8 companies simultaneously and thus accelerate the emergence of companies in this booming sector.

PyraTzLabs has some successes to its credit!

PyraTzLabs holding company achieved €1 million in turnover in the second half of 2021 and raised more than €10 million on its projects. Its companies are references in their field of application. Equisafe, awarded at MIPIM 2019, completed Europe’s first real estate transaction via the Blockchain in June 2019 and develops solutions to streamline investments and reduce management costs. In the gaming sector, PyraTzLabs is launching through its company Dogami a virtual companion game that rewards the good care given with cryptocurrency. Created in June 2021, this game has raised €6 million from institutions such as XAnge and Ubisoft. 200,000 users are expected on its mobile application in 2022 and the beta version will be released in the spring. Web 3 is a vast universe to explore. In March 2022, a new subsidiary of PyraTzLabs, Lezar House, will open in Barcelona. This art gallery designed as an apology for technology and art, will exhibit different works with a technological component such as AI, augmented reality, virtual reality or blockchain.

How do investors support this web revolution?

To reach this fast-growing industry, Parisian investment funds create funds with a web theme 3. The number of start-ups that can receive these investments is not enough to meet demand. Our role in industrializing the creation of these companies will also meet this need for investment funds.
